Primarily advising sponsors and other private fund investors (and their portfolio companies) in corporate finance transactions, including secured debt, asset-backed loans, equipment financings, mezzanine debt and structured equity, buyout financings, unsecured or subordinated debt and convertible debt instruments. Chris began his career in the business, finance and restructuring group of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP in New York, and after returning to his California roots, Chris practiced as a leveraged finance attorney at Latham & Watkins LLP in Los Angeles.

Jose R. Rijo

The newest member to join the team, Jose started his career as a member of the finance and restructuring group at Choate, Hall & Stewart LLP in Boston, where he advised clients in numerous complex corporate finance transactions. His contributions were instrumental in assisting clients with international debt financings, debt workouts, restructurings, and asset-based credit facilities. Prior to joining Choate, Jose acquired valuable experience at a global asset management firm, further enriching his diverse background. This diverse combination of experiences allows Jose to bring a fresh and insightful perspective to his role at Linden Law.

Jay E. Pietig
Of Counsel
Throughout his 25 years of experience at two of the largest law firms in the United States, Jay has served as general corporate counsel for hundreds of startups and small businesses in a wide variety of tech and traditional industries ranging from software/app developers to product/service companies to real estate developers. Jay has assisted numerous clients through multiple financing rounds and, ultimately, to multi-million dollar exit transactions.
Jay is Founding Partner of the Startup Legal Group and has served as a mentor for SparkLabKC, a startup accelerator based in Kansas City, and has served on multiple startup and entrepreneur panels and forums. His passion is working with entrepreneurs and small businesses to help them grow to a successful exit transaction.
